ComplyAssistant is designed to be simple and straightforward. This article explains the general features that can be found throughout the website.
Dashboard
The dashboard is the first page that appears when you log in. User menus appear at the top-right of the page, the module menus run across the top of the page, and various charts appear below.
Several menus appear at the top-right of any page:
- Click your name to manage user settings.
- For account administrators, click Account Settings to display a drop-down panel from which you can configure various settings.
- Click Logout to sign out of ComplyAssistant.
- Click Help to either view the knowledge base or submit a support ticket.
Here is an example of these menus:
Modules
The module menus also appear at the top of every page. Click a menu to navigate directly to that module.
- Dashboard — High-level charts for all of the data in your ComplyAssistant account.
- Tasks — Manage compliance activity, policies, contracts, and project tasks—with an extensive array of team collaboration features.
- Projects — Manage and perform tasks from reusable projects templates.
- Events — Document and manage incidents, issues, and complaints. Use key questions and guidance to determine if an incident is a HIPAA-HITECH Omnibus breach and if the breach is reportable.
- Audits — Manage government regulations, such as HIPAA and HITECH, with pre-packaged and customizable audit definitions.
- Assessments — Create location-based assessments to gather answers.
- Regulation Management — For each location in your organization, record compliance and risk levels, assign risk mitigation procedures, and document compliance processes.
- Documentation — Upload documents and view previously uploaded documents.
- Contracts — Define and assign contract reviews and schedule alerts with due dates.
For many items, a popup context menu will appear when hovering over a link or button. Click one of the small items in the menu to perform the action:

— General context options.

— Edit related context options.

— Edit and delete options.
Action Box
Many actions are available along the right side of the page. Here is an example from the Assessments page.
Filtering
On many pages, use the filters on the right side of the page to change the content that appears.
