Create and Assign a Task

You can create a task and optionally assign it to one or more people. Besides creating general action items, you can create tasks related directly to other compliance items. See Types of Tasks in the Overview for more info.


To create and assign a task, follow these steps:


  1. Click Tasks in the main header. 

  2. Click + Add New Task in the Action Box.

  3. Choose a task group, or create a new Task Group. by clicking the + Add New Generic Task Group link.

  4. Add a Description, choose a Priority, choose a Compliance Category, and choose a Location.

  5. Choose one or more Assignees.

  6. Assign a Frequency. When tasks with a frequency are complete, ComplyAssistant will automatically create another task with the same assignees and description.

  7. Choose the Sub-Categories for this task. This field allows further categorization of the task with a user generated field.

  8. Choose a Start Date and a Due Date.

  9. Optionally, add a Note.

  10. Optionally, add a checklist. The optional checklist allows the task to have a list of items to be completed along with the task.

  11. Choose Email Notifications. ComplyAssistant will notify the chosen assignees with an email immediately.
