Create and assign a task

You can create a task and optionally assign it to one or more people. 

Follow these steps:

  1. Click Tasks in the main header. 

  2. Click + Add New Task in the Action Box.

  3. Choose a task group, or create a new Task Group. by clicking the + Add New Generic Task Group link.

  4. Add a Description, choose a Priority, choose a Compliance Category, and choose a Location.

  5. Choose one or more Assignees.

  6. Assign a Frequency. When tasks with a frequency are complete, ComplyAssistant will automatically create another task with the same assignees and description.

  7. Choose the Sub-Categories for this task. This field allows further categorization of the task with a user generated field.

  8. Choose a Start Date and a Due Date.

  9. Optionally, add a Note.

  10. Optionally, add a checklist. The optional checklist allows the task to have a list of items to be completed along with the task.

  11. Choose Email Notifications. ComplyAssistant will notify the chosen assignees with an email immediately. 

Assign tasks for other compliance activities

Besides creating general action items, you can create tasks related directly to other compliance items.  

The following items support action items:

  1. Assessments: By assigning an internal assessment, ComplyAssistant creates a task representing the action to complete it.
  2. Assessment Answers: When viewing the report of an assessment, you can create a task by clicking Create Task in the dropdown menu found in the answer's task section. You can also create a task when answering a question
  3. Events: When viewing an assessment, you can create a task by clicking Task Event in the Action Box.
  4. Regulation Management: When viewing a rule in regulation management, you can create a task by clicking Add Task in the Action Dropdown Menu.
  5. Audits: When viewing an audit, you can create a Task by clicking Assign Audit in the Action Box. This task will require the assignee to add a report upon completion.
  6. Audit Reports: When viewing an audit report, you can create a Task by clicking Task Audit Report in the Action Box
  7. Documentation: When viewing a document, you can create a Task by clicking Task Document in the Action Box.
  8. Contracts: Contracts support general tasks as well as administrator-defined workflow tasks.  
    1. When viewing a contract, you can add a general task by clicking General Task Contract in the Action Box.
